Do you have courses that were created before 2016?
Then they probably need to be updated…
On July 25, 2017, Adobe announced that they will stop updating and distributing the Flash Player at the end of 2020.
This was over a year ago, and yet not many in the elearning industry have made moves to get ready for the end days of the content format that is most commonly used to create courses. Flash courses, or any course with even small flash elements, will have to all be converted to another format to be usable. The updated format that many people are turning to is HTML5, which still allows the interactivity and flexibility that Flash was revered for.
Even though Adobe has said Flash will run through 2020, many elearning professionals have already seen Flash courses beginning to break. So don’t wait to get your courses converted! Especially since most organizations have hundreds if not thousands of hours worth of elearning content.
Is your team ready to take that on? Or, would you rather have an experienced content development team handle it all for you so that you can continue focusing on current training needs?
