Community Management allows administrators and managers to create forums or discussion boards within the LMS where
users of similar interest can share ideas in a social learning environment.

COMMUNITIES AND TOPICS

  • Communities can easily be created by administrators to cover a variety of topics.
  • Communities can have multiple topics which can be added freely by members or controlled by the Community Manager acting as the moderator.
  • Once topics are established, members can post messages (including links and videos) to the topics to allow a free flow of ideas between the community members.
  • To ensure appropriate content, specific words can be defined as prohibited from inclusion in community posts.

ENGAGEMENT

  • Users can engage with topic threads not only by replying to the topic, but by liking or disliking a particular post as well as via the ‘reply with quote’ option which shows both the original and new users’ comments
  • There is also a feature to allow users to private message another member of the community

COMMUNITY REGISTRATION & RULE MANAGEMENT

  • Users (community members) can be auto enrolled based on rules or they can be manually invited to be a member.
  • Users can be automatically enrolled in the community based on their department, supervisor, location, job classification, years of employment, training completed, training failed, etc.
  • The enrollment engine has unlimited flexibility for creating the rules to qualify a user
